TECHNERA LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Life in the UK Test app (the “App”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

What Data We Collect

Password (hashed)	Authentication — we never store plain-text passwords
Test answer history	To show you your progress and weakest topics
Test session records	To display your test history and scores
Study guide progress	To track which chapters and sections you have completed

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, or any payment information in the current version of the app.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases (UK GDPR Article 6):

Contract performance — processing your email and answers is necessary to provide the app service you signed up for
Legitimate interests — aggregated, anonymised usage patterns help us improve the app

How Long We Keep Your Data

When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

Third Parties

We use Supabase (Supabase Inc., 970 Toa Payoh North, Singapore) to store your account and progress data securely. Supabase processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and does not use your data for their own purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
Restriction — ask us to restrict processing while a dispute is resolved
